Voting Snapsphots 2012

Romney/Ryan lost their home-states. Massachusetts went to Pres. Obama 61% (to Romney’s 38%). Wisconsin went to Pres Obama, 53% (To Romney’s 46%).

But they didn’t just lose the states they call home. They also lost in the towns where they live. Romney lost his hometown of Belmont, badly, getting only 34% of the vote. (4728 votes to Barack Obama’s 9,108).

Ryan lost his hometown too:

“Democratic congressional challenger Rob Zerban defeated Ryan [for his congressional race] in Janesville 55% to 44%. President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden defeated the Romney-Ryan ticket in Janesville 62% to 37%. Ryan had never lost Janesville in a re-election campaign before.”

Romney also got a lower percent of Mormon voters than McCain had in 2008.
