5/1: Today, the House is debating an amendment to allow Progressive Taxation in the Commonwealth, AND an amendment to allow early voting in MA. Show that Needham voters care about revenue, progressively raised.
- S.17 – Proposal for a legislative amendment to the Constitution allowing for a graduated income tax.
- I was disappointed in the House’s failure to pass comprehensive, progressive revenue reform, and I want to see Rep Garlick push for progressive taxation and revenue with her support of S17.
- H.63 – A Legislative amendment to the Constitution relative to voting by qualified voters of the Commonwealth.
- Voting in Massachusetts is antiquated and too often is a challenge. We must expand access to voting, and no-excuse early voting is past due. I hope she will support H63.
Local organizers are working in conjunction with Progressive Massachusetts on getting responsible revenue reform passed in Massachusetts, so we can begin again to invest in our communities and our future! (More information here; PDF/handout here)

I hope she will take a leadership role at this critical time by sending a letter of support to the Speaker to ask it be brought to a vote. I would appreciate if you would send me a copy of the letter. Thank you”
